  • Missing receipt #

    Hello,

I filed N-400 form @ CSC for me and my spouse. UCIS received my
application on 01-FEB-2010 and sent "I-797C, Notice of Action" form.

In "I-797C, Notice of Action" form I can find my Notice Date and Priority Date ( listed as 05-FEB-2010) along with UCIS A#

However I don't see RECEIPT NUMBER on I-797C form

Can some one share their experience on this

    Thanks in advance

    -DCRC

I do not see any thing starting with WAC next to receipt #.

    It is blank

Can some one pls tell me if this common
    - May be UCIS may assign receipt #
    - Or receipt # format is changed ?

Yes I do see Application number starting with NBC in separate column.

          Here is more info:
          Day 1>
I called UCIS customer service to find out receipt #. Initially used automated
options to check My Case Status, I entered application number starting with NBC as my receipt # However automated message said it is not valid receipt # . Later I was able to connect to customer service personal, She told she don't know why receipt # is missing. She asked If i can find any other #, I told I see # starting with NBC, she collected number and searched, However could not find any details in the system.
She told this need to be escalated to next level.
          Call got x-fered.
After few mins another gentleman came on phone collected my details like
name, address,D.O.B. and Application number starting with NBC. He also
could not find receipt #. But he told, Application number starting with NBC
          is my receipt #
I asked if I can track My Case Status online https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do
He said NO. He also said Citizenship case status can not be tracked online.
He asked to call UCIS phone line. He was reluctant to give more info

          Day 2>
Called customer service again again used automated options to check My Case Status, I entered same application number starting with NBC as my receipt # Hooray, The message said "On February 1, 2010, we received this N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending"

Finally I was able to search my case status using application number starting with NBC.

I guess receipt # does not start with WAC any more @ CSC for Citizenship. It starts with NBC*000xxxxx
