I have completed 4 years and 8 months as a permanent resident in U.S(I have got my Greencard during april 2005)
Am I eligible for applying for citizenship?

Not yet. You can apply 90 days in advance of completing 5 years.

Something like 4 to 6 months, but timings vary all the time.
