FP reschedule letter question

hi all
does any1 know how much time does it take to receive a Fingerprint reschedule letter?
done my FP 1st time on 02/11/2010. were rejected by FBI (coz of quality) and were sent back to uscis on the same date (02/11/2010) ..so how much time do i have to wait till i receive the FP letter again (reschedule letter)?
any help is appreciated ..

Hi Mycase09 - I was wondering what ended up happening with your fingerprinting. I'm scheduled for mine this Friday 4/16 and was just curious how quickly I can find out if the prints come out clear and is accepted..

And if it isn't accepted, besides the letter that comes in the mail for a 2nd fingerprinting, how else can one find out sooner.

When they take your fingerprints, the program (if you are watching the compuer screen while they take the fingerprints) immediately gives a rating. I believe it is either pass or fail. So, it is possible to find out immediately if FBI may or may not accept the fingerprints.

In my wife's case, the person taking the fingerprints said that there were problems with a few fingers. So he took the manual fingerprints the same day and told us that if FBI rejects the first set, they will automatically send them the manual fingerprints. From what he said, FBI lets the ASC know within 24 hours if the fingerprints were accepted or rejected.

If it is rejected the first time, you should get the notice for the second fingerprinting within a couple of weeks.
