I am applying for citizenship by using the N-400 form. I am not sure which option is the most appropiate to me on Part 1 of form. I am married to an US citizen for more than 6 years and we have a child together. My husband is in US Army and is constantly deployed in Europe, I always join him when deployed abroad. I have 4 years and 7 months since I received the green card. I think I am under 319(e) but I am not sure which option on Part 1 is the most appropiated. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!!

From what I see you have several options:- You can apply for naturalization under INA 319(b), for spouses of US citizens stationed abroad for the US government, which does not require you to have been continuously resident in the US for any amount of time (e.g. you can apply even right after getting your green card). In this case you would select C.
- You can apply for naturalization under the 3-year rule as the spouse of a US citizen who has been continuously resident in the US for 3 years (time spent abroad with a spouse in the military where you are authorized to accompany him/her counts as continuous residence and physical presence in the US under INA 319(e)). In this case you would select B.
- You can wait until 90 days before you will have been a permanent resident for 5 years, and apply under the 5-year rule (again, time spent abroad with a spouse in the military counts as continuous residence and physical presence in the US under INA 319(e)). In this case you would select A.
This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
