To share my experience for applying citizen ship in Boston:
2/04/2010 is when I have green card for 5 years
11/09/2009 file application
11/20/2009 receipt
12/04/2009 first finger print (failed)
1/04/2010 second finger print
1/15/2010 receive letter for interview
2/16/2010 interview
during interview, I was told the second finger print was not good either, and I need to get police reports for all cities that I lived in the past 5 years. And I lived in three states before. So I started to call the police stations in the local town. I found that was more time saving than going through state police. (The state police need finger prints for checking your background... and I knew I don't have a readable finger print )
3/2/2010 All police letters are gethered and hand delivered to immigration office. Got a notice to take the oath on June 10, 2010...
What a process.... I came to US on 1/1/1997 and finally become a citizen 13 and 1/2 years later.....
