  • Spouse prior marriage question

This is with regard to N400 form page 8, Q8 - how many times is your spouse married. My spouse was married before in India, before he even got his GC or citizenship, but the married was annulled and cancelled and he didnt get to stay even a day with her.My husband is a US citizen for past 9+ years, even when he filed for his citizenship he did not declare about his previous marriage nor used that info anytime for any application. So can i just mention spouse was married once for how many times your spouse was married ?Please advise. I am hiring an attorney on my case by the way

If your husband has the paperwork of annulment, it's probably safer to mention it. should not be a big deal.

      I am seeing this late.

Unfortunately... if your husband did not mention his previous marriage on his original application.... he did not fill in the N400 100% truthfully and accurately.
You don't want to make matters worse by not answering truthfully and accurately on YOUR application.
The rules are that YOU need to be honest and accurate on YOUR form... so tell USCIS about his previous annulment. Any other response would be inaccurate.

Oh I notice you hired an attorney.... I would expect that they said the same thing for the same reasons... did they?
