My wife's online document appeared now and surprisingly it has same date/time/location as mine (Municipal Plaza bldg) in San Antonio. She has name change and not sure if the ceremony there is done by a judge who can also do name change?
Any one gone through name change in San Antonio can share your thoughts/experience if a judge is present for the oath ceremony?
I called USCIS but they asked me to call local office and local office is not sure on the name change part. Thank you in advance

We reached right before 9am, the officers redirected everyone to their allocated seats. Once seated, they collected Oath letter along with GC. There were 155 (11 were absent) participants from 43 countries. It took almost an hour to collect everyones letters/GC and verification. At 10, the judge presided the ceremony, starting with oath, pledge of allegiance. In fact y'day was the "Constitution Day" or Citizenship Day, so they had San Antonio Mayor to give speech. This whole thing lasted merely 25min and judge left. After that, certificates were handed by each row. We were out before 11am. There were voter registrations but no passport services. We came back to Austin and applied for passport at local County office.

Also about my wife's name change, there was an additional document which is the court order for name change that was given along with Certificate. So all went very well.

Wish you all good luck who ever waiting, hopefully you will get through soon.
