Hi all,
Maybe this is already discussed but your comments&help would be appreciated.
I had my n-400 interview at Newark, NJ office on June 11. Although I'm a resident of Brooklyn, NY, they told me my file was transferred due to high volume. But my oath ceremony would be held in Brooklyn office. As of yet, I still have not received the confirmation for my oath ceremony. It's been 2 months. I understand it's normal and usual that this process takes a bit time. However, I have a French friend (also a Brooklyn resident and applied after 5 years of getting his greencard) who had his interview at Newark on June 25 and received his oath confirmation 4 days later and scheduled for August 15. We had a very similar experience but his process was way faster than mine. I wonder if nationality plays a part in this. I'm originally from Turkey and he is from France. He waited 4 days and I've been waiting for 2 months now.
On my USCIS dashboard, it now says "Estimated wait time: 23 days" Does that mean I will receive an update regarding my oath ceremony after 23 days? So it means my ceremony will be scheduled after that? or does it mean in 23 days I will have my oath ceremony my whole case will be finalized.
I'd appreciate if you could share your experiences if you had a similar issue.
Thank you!
