i have filed my n-400, have an appointment already for biometrics, but I have made an error. I forgot that I had one traffic ticket for accidentally having my headlights off in a very bright city at night. what do I need to do in order to correct this on the N-400? Thank you for your help.

This is an unimportant mistake and you have two options
1) Wait until the interview and then mention it and apologize
2) Write a letter saying that you forgot to mention the ticket and give the date and details of the ticket and then upload it on the website as an unsolicited document. It will show up next to your greencard images. USCIS are not obliged to read unsolicited letters but it demonstrates a good-faith attempt to get everything 100% correct.
I did option (2) when I made a similar mistake.

Do not worry about it. I did the same thing and did not mention a speeding ticket from 5 years ago.
At my interview two days ago I raised it at the point where they ask about citations and all the officer did was write down speeding ticket December 2013, ticket paid. That was it. Did not effect anything.Comment
