Naturalization clock reset? on visit to India

Hi There,

I am in India for last 8 months and I am trying to find out, how long can I stay here without resetting my naturalization clock.

I have completed 4.5 yrs in US and should be expecting a call soon.
So is there any other factors I should be considering which my extension of stay in India would have?

Broken Continuous Residency

Hello,
You already broke your 'continuous residency' requirement. I had the same problem but I applied anyway, mine was 11 months and 3 weeks. it is hard to get your citizenship If you stay more than a year. If you stay more than 6 months but less than 1 year; you have to convince the interview officer that you did not leave the country intentionally that you had ties here in US such as payments, bank accounts so on. I do not know what will happen during the interview since I am currently waiting for my Interview Letter.
