My parents have been staying less than 180 days in India each year for las few years while on green card. when we applied for citizenship in June this year, we realised that one of the years, they were in India for 182 days. we were able to apply for citizenship and now they have citizenship interview in couple of weeks. any thoughts on this issue. how big is this issue?

this could be another issue, can you list the timeline, and the exact date of Time Spent in and out of the USA?

And do they maintain their ties (rental, properties, utilities etc) in the USA while being out?

I have a feeling that spending months abroad each year might have broken their continuous stay in the USA, for N400 purpose.
