  • I've been deported three times. Got my N600 approved this year. Having problems now.

Like the title says, I've been deported three times. I never knew I was a citizen from birth through my father until after all of that happened. We got the N600 approved this year. Now, the thing is that I am having a lot of problems entering the country and with social security. Every time I come in from Mexico I get pulled to secondary inspection, and it takes a long time to convince them that I'm a citizen. Any ideas on clearing that up?

Also, I cannot get a social security number (this may be outside the scope of this forum). Social security shows that I'm deported. Any ideas where to look for help on that?

Maybe you can get your deportations reopened since they were in error? Might need an attorney for that though.

In principle it shouldn't affect your ability to get a Social Security Number, since you are a citizen, but I am not sure how to challenge the denial.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

You are going need an attorney.

It is an interesting case. Maybe a law professor would like to throw some students at it and you can get free assistance.
