Hartford (CT) field office - waiting for oath letter

    hi all,

I had my interview in mid march 2010, i passed the test but they said they will send a decision by mail in few weeks. i have not hear back from them and its already 1.5 months.

what could be the probable reason? anyone could you please share your experience or suggestion if any.

    thanks in advance.

I had the interview in Hartford and they rescheduled by asking so many documents for evidence , it seems hartford immigration officers are so strict .

              Hi StatueOL,

Did you try calling USCIS number and enquire about the status, try taking infopass to meet the officer if you still dont get information by calling the number.

              SK.

                Finally, its Over.

Finally we recieved the the OATH letter after allmost five months we were interviewed. I did not get any RFE or additional doc request by HomeLand Security. My case was just resting somewhere. Nevermind.

In the end of July, I had requested for the status of my case through new online feature where you could contact the immi department if processing current date is later then the date of your interview and I indeed recieved response letter very next day. wow, That was too quick. In response letter they said that my case has been sent to fbi for background check on 27th July. Wow! they started my background check after almost five month. anyway, got letter for oath last week and will be naturalized tommorow.

We had no plan to travel outside USA during this period so no biggy. We have been taking it easy anyway.

Thank you all on this very helpful forum.

now moving on to -- new Passport, Old Passport Surrender and OCA. another around $1000 to lose to have them all set.
