out of job at interview

I am out of job for the past 5 months. I was lazy enough due to the severance. Thought take a long vacation after the interview. Does this affect for the interview which is next week?

It is not necessary to demonstrate that you have been employed in order to naturalize as a US citizen. Just give them the facts and you will be OK.

Anyways, if you want take to your interview tax returns and something to show financial support just in case they ask you something but I don´t think so because it is only 5 months.

Thanks ICEway. I am just visiting back here after my interview, I said the fact. The officer wished me for the future. It will not affect. She told me like myself lot of them. It make sense, there is no rule husband and wife should work. I will be ok because my wife has job (gods grace).

I am updating again. I told the fact in interview, and the same info passed in the oath. They called and said my name and the country from. Well, inside US it is not big deal.
