  • Waiting time for i-751 plus N-400

    Hi all

This is the 1st time I interact in a forum but would like some opinions. I submitted the I-751 Petition for Removal of Conditions on January 2018. Got the 12 and 18 months extension letters, the extension expired, got a I-751 stamp valid for year now. In the meantime, also applied for citizenship when the time was right, January 2019. Couple of weeks later, got the biometrics appointment and that was completed on time, No Further Actions needed.

After all that, the only change on the I-751 was "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction" on August 2019.

About the N-400, I haven't heard anything at all but the status in the USCIS account is still a few months from "estimated completion time"

Has anybody waited this long? Should I call or contact USCIS in any way? Should I be worried? The service center is California.

    I'm going throughout the same
I submitted the I 751 back in January 15 ,2019 i got my biometrics appointment for February 2019
I got my extension letter on may 2019 for 18 months
    I qualified for naturalization in November 2019 , I submitted everything on January 20th , 2020
as of now I haven't heard anything about the N-400
Yesterday 2/6/2020 there was an update about my case on the website, stating "Case was transferred to another office" and a second update saying "Case transferred to another office"
Today 2/7/2020 I got another update stating "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction"
i dont have more details, apparently the letter they sent out has an explanation of why the case was transferred but, i have to wait to get the letter if, i dont get it by 3/6/2020 i can request them to re send the letter
As of now I dont know anything and I'm really worry because my extension expires in July, im currently working and my job ask me for documents very often
I'm worry and frustrated with all this long times

I don't think you will have any issues with work. You could get the I-751 stamp by calling USCIS and requesting an appointment. That will extend your status for another year.

As of today, I still haven't received any information at all from neither I-751 nor N-400 and even the "estimated completion date" that I was seeing for April 2020, disappeared from my_uscis account. So, I'm not sure what to expect anymore
