Hello!
I will be applying under 5 year rule. I got my green card through marriage but My husband and I have been separated for several months now. We are still married. Our relationship is really bad now. We have been married for 5 years.
Will USCIS contact him and interview him to see if marriage was real? I’m worried he might lie.. and complicate things if they do. Is it better to get a divorce before applying for citizenship or it doesn’t matter? I just don’t think I’m ready for all the emotional involvement that comes with it.
