Whenever I filed forms with the USCIS on paper I always completed every box with NONE, N/A or hyphens, never left anything blank. I think that's what the instructions say as well. I understand this was because they scan these forms so to make sure the scanner doesn't pick up info from other lines and mixes it with blank lines.
However, you can file the N-400 online (only form as of now?), so no scanning. Whoever filed online, did you guys leave boxes blank or still wrote NONE, N/A and such?
Just looks weird that the webpage says "Firstname" NONE "Lastname" .
Your answers much appreciated
