  • N-400 - Question regarding photo radar traffic tickets while overseas

Hi all, I have a question regarding N-400 question 23 in Part 12 (Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer (including immigration official or any other office of U.S. armed forces) for any reason)?

So I have some traffic citations that I got while in the US and will disclose them in the N-400, however my question is what about traffic tickets that I got while I was at my home country? I got speeding tickets that were paid and the points already cleared, also they were photo radar tickets.

I checked with an attorney from my home country and he informed that a traffic ticket is not considered a citation there (it seems that you are only cited when there is a Lawsuit in progress). So I'm not sure if I should disclose them in the N-400 along with the ones I got in the US.

Can someone please provide me some advice? Thanks in advance.

If you are serious, my suggestion is to ask from IO in interview, but it is necessary to have original evidence to avoid any delay in process.
