  • PLEASE HELP- N-400 Exam passed no decision made yet

    Please help.

i attended to Citizenship interview and passed the exam. In N652, IO checked decision not made.
I applied my N-400 application in August and changed my job in October. I mentioned this during my interview process.

IO told me that she cannot make a decision now then I asked her if she was looking for any additional documentation and I have everything with me. She said no I don’t need anything right now I have everything to verify. You may see changes by end of the day today or tomorrow morning at the earliest. It’s been 4 days but no updates on my case.

please anyone has similar experience and how long did it take to complete?
I have to visit my parents in May.

Hello friend, welcome to party, seems you are very worry since you posted same case in 3 different topic, but do not be so worry, there is too many ppl waiting like you. You may get ceremony letter in few days, or few weeks, or few months or few years, nobody knows. There is 647,576 pending case in all USCIS offices for N400 in last report(Fiscal Year 2019, 4th Quarter, Jul. 1-Sep. 30, 2019)since there is only 230,340 Applications Received by them. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/...y2019_qtr4.pdf

I started with my wife 29 May 2019, we had bio-metric together 06/19/2019, wife had interview 20 Dec and Oath ceremony 17 Feb and I had interview in 23 Dec and still waiting for online statue change (stuck on we scheduled your interview on 18 Nov,2019)in Fairfax VA and both got decision can not be made.

Where is your office and what is your receipt date? This help you to know estimate lower-upper time of your case and the date which you can request long time inquiry.

There is no problem to travel out of US to visit your parents less than 180 days but if it is more than a month better to prepare evidence for it, you must fill the travels after interview in the forms which they will mail to you with ceremony schedule letter, if you be in travel and they schedule ceremony; you will see online and will have about 2 weeks time to come back and attend in ceremony, good luck for all.

      ronmony,
Thanks for understanding my anxiety. I attended interview at Fairfax office. The officer mentioned she had everything to approve my case and I will see the update by the end of the day ;( . It’s been 5 days and so far no updates.
My file is very straight forward and I don’t know what additional checks they needed to be done. I observed that they approved all cases who came along with lawyers.
i was under impression that my case and file is simple and has everything . They took 6 months to schedule my interview after biometrics. So I thought they did all background checks and I will get an approval on the same day. My friends got approval on the same day. Fingers crossed

        GG99,
All condition was same for me and my wife, she got ceremony and I am still waiting, I do not know is it random checking or random waiting or what... I saw some similar your case which get ceremony letter after 8 weeks, I saw somebody in this site get interview and even ceremony schedule and then canceled before or even in meeting day ! I think USCIS ask for background check and clearance 2-3 times, (before interview, after interview, before ceremony) and if there is delay on 1 you have nothing to do except WAiTING!!!
Seems something is by chance in this process ! And there is nothing anyone can do, lawyer, senators, First Lady was tested by ppl and reported they could not do anything about delay on FBI check report.
Happy new year! Is anyone else waiting for oath ceremony at Fairfax, VA? My case was approved on December 13th and have been placed on queue for Oath ceremony but since then I haven't heard anything from USCIS Fairfax, VA office. They sent only one notice that I-751( Condition on Permanent Resident is removed) and case is

I wrote inquiry about my status that stuck in online account "November 18, 2019 We scheduled your interview " , they answer " USCIS systems indicate that you appeared for your naturalization interview on December 23, 2019. If final approval is granted, you will be notified of when and where to report for your naturalization ceremony. " , but there is no change in my online status yet.
There is nothing we can do until 120 days pass from interview for Ombudsman. Or we must wait for "Receipt date for a case inquiry" which show for me today : January 07, 2019 (every day change 1 day) https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
I suggest you, relax and wait, they will send ceremony letter in one day, soon or late to be worry does not bring anything, chilax my friend...
