I have been married with American citizen for more than 3 year, I got work permit 2 years ago. I got my greencard for 10 years last year.
Cam I apply for citizenship
I need help
When did you become a permanent resident (get your green card)? i.e the Resident Since date on your green card. You need to have been a permanent resident for 3 years to be eligible for naturalization under the 3-year rule (you can apply 90 days early).
This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
Even if you married with US citizen more than 10 years ago, you can apply for citizenship after 33 month of your first green card ( also you must live with your spouse more than 18 month in US and had not any trip more than 6 month in last 3 years and you continue and prof your marriage until your interview )
