  • Back Taxes

    Hi guys

I missed two years of taxes but before filing n400 I back filed. Sent the money order to the IRS for my back taxes.

i haven’t heard anything from the IRS. (If any penalty or anything). But i filed!

question: if my interview comes up. Will this be an issue? Or can i just show them the Tax Returns for those two years that i back filed.

is this an issue at all?

That should be enough. It depends on an officer. Usually, the naturalization letter contains a list of things you need to bring

You should let the officer know that you failed to initially file the returns but have now corrected the issue.
This won't be a problem for you since you took care of it
