what is typical processing time in California

Hello:
What are typical processing times in California? I am filing my husband's citizenship application over weekend (07/05/2010) and our permanent resident card expires in 10/2001.
Do I also need to apply for extension for permanent resident card at the same time.

My process (northern california - sacramento branch) is about 4months.

I mailed my application on March 12th and I had my interview two weeks ago and my oath date is set on July 14th. So overall 4months. I think there is an applicant here who was applying out of San Francisco and his process is about 3months. I'm not sure if you have to extend your green card validity, that's a good question to ask first.
