N 400 question -for which you have no answers???

I have questions on my N 400 form for which I have no answers that apply.(number of children )
Should I fill up all blank spaces with N/A or not applicable.
Should they be left blank or should I use not applicable or N/A notation.

Kindly advice.

You can leave blank for the questions that you do not have an answer.

How to finally sign the form? (FYI I did not have a preparer to fill up my form)

What I understood is -I'll sign the form as I sign my bank documents or other docs and in brackets type my name in capital letters .
EXAMPLE --- sign in cursive(JOHN LITTLE)

Lastly what color pen to use black/blue ball point or felt pens?

What is more preferred for writing Alien # behind photos pencil or felt pens?
(We have both options )

Black Pen.

If you are preparing the form, then you need to sign only in PART 11 only signature.

And to clarify your next question date format to be mm/dd/yyyy
