folks, I have a question regarding regular traffic ticket right before naturalization ceremony.
Say I passed the N-400 interview, all went well and got an oath ceremony date, all good.
I'm WFH but I've been driving for shoppings, etc, not everyday with covid-19, but every 2-3 days.
Let's just say unfortunately 2 or 3 days before the ceremony date, I got pulled over and got a ticket.
Assume it is a minor traffic infraction (didn't stop at stop sign, speeding 68/55, etc), which does NOT require you to appear in court, just fine and the fine will definitely be <$200, things like you can pay on court case website.
(I've been good driver and last moving violation/offense at 2014 was "OPR VEH WHILE TXT/READ-1ST", basically reading messages while driving, not very serious offense, right?)
The thing is: If I got a traffic ticket as above and It takes some days(usually 4-5 business days) for the ticket record to show up at the court website so that I can pay it.
What will happen at the ceremony date when the ticket is not yet shown so that I can't pay it?
Will I get pulled out of ceremony line and reschedule/delay?
Or will I be allowed to proceed with ceremony and get naturalized and be able to pay for the ticket when it's available and send the receipt to somewhere USCIS officer indicated?
I've searched and read different experiences, hence the question and the concern :-(
(I know I would have to honestly disclose it on form N-445, no problem with that at all)
Location is DC metro, northern virginia so the ceremony will be held at 2675 PROSPERITY AVENUE, FAIRFAX VA 20598
Thanks in advance for any response/comments...
