How to answer N-400 PART 9

Hi,

I am confused on how to answer Part 9. Time outside of the United States.

I am filling for naturalization through marriage, which means that I've been living in the USA for 3 years.

Part 9. Item 1 asks how many total days I spent outside of the USA in the last 5 years.

Since I moved here (past 4 years) I have spent 45 days outside of the USA, but if I consider the year prior to moving here, then it would be approximately 365 + 45.

How do I answer this? and can I use an approximation or does it have to be the number exact?

You just go back up to the date you came to the US the first time if you are applying based on 3 years marriage.

they want the exact date which you can get from US custom website at
