  • Timeframe for Interview Rescheduled

I live in Houston. My first interview was rescheduled due to Covid. However, I missed the interview because I never received a notice about it. Luckily, USCIS granted me another interview. They said they would send a notice for interview within 120 days. I was wondering if the Houston field office is pretty good with adhering to that timeframe? I am currently overseas due to family emergency. I am worried I may not be able to return in time for the interview if a notice is sent out around this time. Also, if anyone can share his/her experience of the amount of time it took to get a decision on citizenship from the Houston field office?

Any insights or advice is very much appreciated.

Why don’t you have an online account to get notifications online? Create a uscis account. Makes it easier

Have they scheduled you yet? How long after your initial appointment? I'm in a similar situation.
