N600 application. Oath done and received certificate of naturalization. Received biometrics notice after oath. Did anyone else also have similar situation.

N600 is for my minor son
Filed for N600 June 2020
Received RFE in July 2020 to submit his pictures. and answered the RFE
Received oath notice August 2020.
September : 0ath done and received certificate of naturalization
Nov 20th: received notice for biometrics scheduled for Dec14th
Puzzled..
We plan to go to biometrics anyways as per notice.
But was this expected?

Yes. 3 years back fingerprints as part of biometrics notice to issue his permanent resident card.
Therefore I assumed they only required his pictures and they asked for passport picture as part of the N600 RFE which we submitted.
They did not schedule biometrics then. But asking it now long after Oath. My concern is what if we travelled outside as we did not expect biometrics
after Oath. we did not travel due to COVID situation in the state.
My concern is what if they start whole process again with biometrics -> interview -> one more oath :-)

I don’t know for sure but I don’t think it’s that serious. I think they just need his fingerprints on file. How old was he when they got his fingerprints 3 years ago? Maybe he has grown and they need his prints to be updated. I’m just speculating.. let me know how this goes, ok?
