Wife's name was changed

Hello,

I am applying for my Citizenship but I have a dilema

My wife is a naturalized US Citizen at the time of marriage we got a marraige certificate in with my wife's maiden name (her name with her father's name as middle name & his last name). But later we got her name change with my name as middle name & my last name.

So the marraige certificate shows Priyanka J Khanna, but her passport & SS cards shows Priyanka V Mehta. Since I am supposed to submitt the marraige cerificate in my citizenship application, I am concerned as to how can I show that I am married to the same person but with different name.

The passport has her new name but it is a just mentioned in the last page that "henceforth Priyanka J Khanna should be known as Priyanka V Mehta".

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated...

How did you do this - Legally I presume.

If you did it legally then use those papers and get the SSN & Passport changed.

For E.g. My wife changed her last name in all her official doc such as US passport, credit card, SSN etc to my last name by ptoviding our marriage certificate as proof.

What I do not understand is how is that the marriage certificate does not have appropriate last name if it was done here ( maybe different in different states I guess)

Well the marraige certificate was issued before the name change was done.

And yes the passport & SSN has the new name

Of course, marriage certificate will have her maiden name.

What exactly is your question/problem?
