  • Naturalization Interview question

    Hello,

I am scheduled for a naturalization interview in August. In the letter it ask to bring all passports/entry document used. I traveled twice after becoming a permanent resident. I used my first passport for the first trip. When I go to my home country, I renewed it and got a new one, but in the process the old one was taken away. So I have record for re-entry on the new passport for my second trip.
Will this be an issue not having my very first passport and intial entry records?

    Thanks

If your country has the policy of not returning your expired passport then you have no option but to say so if you were asked. I do not think that this will be an issue... most likely all they want to determine that there is no lapse in your continous residency requirement ( 5 years), thats why they ask for this... Most definitly they do have this on record because they do scan your Visa when you enter & leave.

Its a secondary level of check if in doubt, you have no reason to be concerned.
