Hi Everyone, my Priority date was July 29, 2020. I am still waiting for a Biometric appointment. I don’t know what is going on in my case. It has been almost 7 months. Any recommendations?

I waited 9.5 months on the dot for biometrics, having applied in March, 2020. I waited and waited, called USCIS thrice and emailed them numerous times, only to get a canned script each time on the message system and varied responses with tier 1 agents. After all this, I finally got through to a nice lady who said she's doing a service request. I found out a few days later I'd been issued a reuse a few hours I'd spoken to her--correlation of course, not causation-it was a lucky coincidence.
All you can do is wait. Make calls if you like; I heard of cases where those bear fruit.
You may get a re-use but even re-use notices are in a queue.
Heck, oaths are queued up. I am gearing up for another 9 months for the oath. In this amount of time, 9.5 months, and another 9.5 , I could have borne two kiddos-almost. USCIS wait time=2 pregnancies and 2 kiddos.
I even heard of receipt notices taking a month now. When I applied, it took a day. When USCIS offices reopened in June, people's interviews got scheduled with lightning speed and they got oaths within the week, if not the same day. And now, this...
I do think we are experiencing the nadir of this process though. If anyone can vitalize USCIS, reform the process, and fund the agency, it's J.B, who genuinely is pro-immigration and has this as top on his agenda.Last edited by stairsandstars; 01-29-2021, 02:15 AM.
