Citizenship application delay

I applied to the US Citizenship back in Dec 01, 2020. At that time, the website specified that the estimated completion date will be July 2021 (7 months).

Today i logged in the web site and got the message that my completion date will be September 2021 (6 months). And that there is nothing outstanding on my end.

Anyone know the reasons of this?, please advise.

Don't worry about that, it keeps changing. There is nothing you can do about that, just sit tight and wait for your interview.

- When I applied (in Feb 2020) it said April 2021
- changed to May 2021, and then June 2021 after a couple of months
- In Dec, when I got my interview notice, the date changed to July 2021
- Just before interview, it said September 2021
- And now, waiting for Oath, it has gone away - doesn't show any estimated completion date.

That date is basically the longest possible timeline based on the current processing times at your FO: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I agree to what arkaa mentioned. You will be lucky if you get things completed by Sept. It is not impossible but in Dallas where mine is getting processed, it takes more than a year to complete End-End. In my case completion date showed first as 6 months and then went 12 months and now @14th month, I get the Oath date which I felt was much faster than the Current processing times for Dallas cases.
