When can I apply for citizenship?

Hello - my 5 yr anniversary date of GC is 01/11/2021. A friend recently told me that I could apply for citizenship even 6 months before - because the processing is delayed due to COVID. Does anyone have any experiences with applying for citizenship before the 90 day cut off date?

No. There is only 90 days early filing (90 days before satisfying continuous residence requirement, if all the other requirements have already been met)

If you do apply before the 90 days, USCIS will certainly reject your application without looking at it,
