  • Furlough and Unemployment N-400

    Hi all!
Currently filing my N-400 and was furloughed during the pandemic. I have technically been employed and received benefits from my employer over 16 months altho I didn't work and I received unemployment and pandemic help during the pandemic I just recently did my first gig for my employer again.
I wonder how I should put that on the N-400 where they ask for employment history. Do I have to mentioned I was unemployed because I received unemployment? Or should I just mention my one employer that I have had for 20 years?
    Thanks

Unemployment is not welfare. Your employer paid into it. So you should have no issues during N400
All gaps in employment must be stated on the N400

What did you mean by "pandemic help" ? Can you provide the source of help ? Was it any other government assistance ?

My employer confirmed that I furloughed during the pandemic and I never lost employment, altho I was able to receive unemployment and pandemic unemployment.
So I assume that I can just put my one employer in as I have been employed with this company for over 10 years. I guess the fact that I received unemployment does not matter ?

Yes. This is continuous employment as the furlough was temporary and you returned to work.

So I don't mention anywhere that I received unemployment?

Does the N400 form ask you about unemployment ?
