  • Changing job while after N-400 is filed and which field office will it be?

I recently filed my N-400 application and haven't received any communication yet.

    My question is

    1. Is it advisable to not change job till the process is complete, i.e., will I need to inform USCIS if I change jobs? There won't be any change in my mailing or residential address. I also noticed that there is a field for spouse's job. Will I have to inform USCIS if my spouse changes jobs also or leave his/her current position?

    2. I live in a suburb of Boston area, can I know which field office will my application be assigned to?

I will update as I receive new info.

    Thank you!

For 1, as a GC holder, you just need to inform USCIS if you change the address. When you file any form to USCIS you need to put the information that is current at the time. You can disclose any change in work at your interview if needed.

    For 2, I can't help.

I had my interview while I was in the middle of changing jobs. I had just quit my job the week before the interview and was a week away from starting my new job.
When she asked where I worked I explained the situation and that was it. No issues whatsoever.

        1. You can change jobs. At interview provide updated employment history.

        2. Per https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-.../field-offices you will not get to know that in advance. Why do you care?

          1. Thank you.

          2. I am only interested in knowing the processing times, which vary quite a bit depending on the field office. That's why I wanted to know the field office for my application.

I do not know if i am posting this message at the right forum. Please pardon me if it is not the right place.

            Below is my question:

I have 10 years green card. Is it possible for me to file for my kids with ages of 15,13,8 years respectively. I brought them with me to USA 5 years ago. I could not file for them due to lack of finance when i did my adjustment of status.
For medical and paperwork they need SSN.I do not know if there is any way i can use my status of 10 years green card to file, for them to atleast have SSN first .

I will appreciate all your answers.
            Thank you!
