  • Overdue taxes and overspeeding in VA (misdemeanor)

    I am applying for naturalization on the basis of five years' stay. Two complications;
    1. I have about $5000 in tax bill (2020) for which I already have a payment plan and been making payments.
    2. I have a reckless driving misdemeanor in VA from 2017 where I was fined $500. It was for overspeeding more than 20 mph.
    Is there anything I need to add to my application? Does someone have experience with this?

    In answer to number 1, if you have a payment plan and are making on-time payments as you said, then the overdue tax bill won't be an issue.
