Should a Widow have 'Married' or 'Not Married' status in Renunciation Certificacate

Hi All,

I am filling Renunciation of Indian Citizenship Certificate (Part of the process for applying OCI Card) for my Mother. The link to fill this Form is https://visa.vfsglobal.com/one-pager...lable-form.pdf

Question 2.) in this Form asks for Marital Status. The only options available are 'Married' and 'Not Married'. But my Mother is widow. So my question is which option to pick - 'Married' or 'Not Married'. Any help would appreciated.

Hi Vineet, Not sure if you have already completed this forms or not..
Question on Renunciation of Indian Citizenship Certificate form about marital status- you can answer Not married for widow/er and divorcee.
But When you fill up Government application form for renunciation, you have dropped down options- married/ unmarried/ divorcee/ widow etc. so you can select from that.
