Request for Evidence

Hi,

I received an RFE letter instructing me that they need My state driving license as additional proof and was also instructed to bring it on my interview date. ( I am not scheduled fot an interview date yet ). However, when I ck my status on USCIS website it says. “On July 26, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail.”

Now, my RFE says to bring the evidence to interview date and online status says to submit the evidence asap or else my case will stay suspended. I am confused. What should I do. Someone please advise. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That only mean you will get your interview date anytime soon the letter is auto generated after your finger prints is ok so look for your interview letter at anytime

Did you bother calling USCIS up to clarify your situation? Better be sure now, than both you and USCIS keep waiting for something...
If you dont submit the RFE (in case the website is correct), then you're both waiting for nothing...If the letter you received is correct, than just wait for the Interview notice and bring the evidence...

But looking at it, i guess mpierre might be right..The letter they sent you (instructions more specific to your case) could have more bearing than the website (general template)..

Just call to be sure..

If you dont mind me asking, why did they ask for an RFE regarding your driving license??..Just curious bcoz i myself might have to expect other RFEs with my case..

I think I will call them to be sure...thx for the advice...

I have no clue why they asked for my driving license...one reason I could think of may be coz I moved 3-4 times in last 5 years...or it might be just a random request...who knows with USCIS...
