  • how long to wait for a oath ceremony schedule after the N400 interview?

I had my N400 interview on Oct 15, 2021 at Chicago field office.

On Oct 19, N400 was approved and under quality review.
On Oct 19, in line to be scheduled for an oath ceremony.

However, so far I am still waiting for oath ceremony to be scheduled. I wonder does anyone else has a similar timeline? How long should I wait to get my oath ceremony be scheduled?

45 days after the interview maybe more may be less. I had my interview on August 16. I got e-notification that the oath ceremony receipt was mailed; it didn't arrive. On Oct 14 I got a call that the oath ceremony was on the next day Oct 15-3hrs away. I arrived and there were 339 other new citizens there too.

So the wait depends on COVID restrictions, available officials, and the amount or the wait in line behind those ahead who are also waiting on an OC. All the best.

      Hi Member,
As per my knowledge, it will take anywhere between 3 to 7 weeks.
      All the best.
      Thanks

The 3 to 7 weeks are the waiting time until Oath Ceremony is scheduled, right? Then, it may take another a couple of weeks for the Oath Ceremony to be taken place, right? Or the 3 to 7 weeks is the whole waiting time from Interview to Oath ceremony?

The officer told me that would have been the time for the ceremony. After a successful interview, many are told that they are in line for the OC. I only got a day warning for the OC. However, the e-notification that my OC was scheduled came 45 days after the interview. Some get the actual mail 2weeks before the OC. All the best.

              Hi,
I’m also in same situation. I had my interview on September 30, 2021 Chicago office. On October 4th status changed to Oath ceremony will be scheduled. I’m still waiting for the oath ceremony. I didn’t receive the letter yet for ceremony. I don’t know why they are taking so long to schedule the ceremony.

I got an email notification indicating that an Oath Ceremony receipt would be mailed, but didn't get any. Instead, I received a call on October 14, from the office where I did the naturalization interview and was told that my oath ceremony would be on the next day October 15, 2021 I was shocked, and my hubby and I had to take urgent days offs). When I arrived there were hundreds of other applicants, there were also empty seats where applicants should have been. The officials explained that the error in not receiving the actual mail was based on a glitch in the system. Otherwise, I would have sat waiting to receive one in the letterbox, in vain too. Can you call the local office or try the USCIS phoneline to check what is happening with the delivery of the mail?

Do you know how can I get to talk with representative? No matter what I chose/ tell the automated system, it won’t let me speak with a agent.

I hope so too, it looks like we are exactly 15days apart from our case. I will post as soon as I get an update. You do the same too.

I saw on some other websites, if you try "technical support" or "infopass" then it might work.
