My neighbor, who is Nicaraguan and entered the US under the NACARA law, had his citizenship interview in July 2021. He was advised that he had answered all the civics questions correctly and was told to wait for a response. Come November, and he still has not heard anything. At the interview, he was not advised whether or not he would be offered citizenship, only that he had answered questions correctly. I have his receipt number and have entered it into the USCIS case status and all it says is that he was an interview in July 2021. Can someone please advise if such a long wait is typical and if the case status should have been updated to show he actually had an interview? If this matters, the interview was in Miami . Thank you!!!
