  • N400 Case pending from May 2020 - Dallas Office

    Hello All,

We submitted our N400 application in May 2020. Did finger printing in Jan 2021 and since then no update.
The Date in Case status keeps changing and has even become current but then it shows "It is taking longer than expected". Has anyone experienced this? Have created 3 service requests with USCIS no luck or update.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    AD

Have not personally experienced it but have seen other people contacting their senator or ombudsmen and that definitely seemed to nudge things along! Could be worth a try. Understand not everybody is comfortable with that root so sadly the only other thing I can think of is to remain patient. If you do contact your senator then feel free to cite me as an example. I filed by n400 on 31st August 2021 and received my citizenship at the oath ceremony on Feb. 14 2022.

Your case seems to be stuck at FRC (Federal Records Center).

At this time, legal recourse is the best bet for you. Talk to a good lawyer about this if you have the time and resources to do so.
