Hello,
I am attempting to file the N-400 online and noticed that they ask whether you submitted all tax returns since you received your permanent residence. I received my permanent residence in 2015 but immediately applied for a rentry permit and went back to my country and then permanently moved here in 2017. I filed taxes from 2017 - 2021 so I have the most recent 5 years of records. I did not file taxes in 2015 and 2016 but it looks like I can use the foreign income exclusion so I don't owe any taxes anyways. Should I delay my filing and wait for the returns to be accepted? Or is the most recent 5 years enough?
