Son application for US Passport DS-11

Good morning,


My husband and I are both naturalized US citizens since 2018. My husband is not the biological father of my son. Is my son a US citizen?
I recently apply for my biological son 16 years old passport. His passport case is pending and the state department is requesting my son certificate of naturalization or an adoption decret. My son is permanent resident since 2012 and we immigrated together in 2012. Traveling internationally next month. Any advice on how to resolve the issue will be appreciated.

So is the son your biological son? It shouldn't matter that your husband is not a biological parent -- there just needs to be one biological or adoptive parent who is a US citizen. So if you are, then that's enough.
