I-130 and I-485 filing question

I want to apply for green card for my mother who is currently visiting us. She arrived in US on July 14, 2010 and has valid I-94 till Jan13, 2011. I want to apply for I -130 and I-485 but do not have her birth certificate. Have asked a close relative to do an affidavit but that might take a couple of weeks.

1. In the interim can I just apply for I-130? and then apply for her I-485 as soon as her birth affidavit arrives?
2. or if not applied simultaneously, does I-130 and I-485 has to be applied sequentially?
3. Is it okay for me to apply both I-130 and I-485 now and submit her birth certificate when it arrives?
4. How many days before I-94 expiration do I have to apply I-485 for her to be in a legal status? What are the repercussions if I-130 and I-485 is applied after I-94 expiry?
5. My mother is 74 yrs old, is it necessary for me to get her all vaccination before I-485 submission?
