Hello everyone.
I wanted to see if anyone else had went through a similar experience and if they were able to do something about it (if anything at all).
I am a LPR, due to Covid I was pretty much forced to stay out of the US for longer than a year. I did have a re-entry permit so I did not get to lose the LPR status, but I have broken the continuous residence (I believe it is called) and the 5 year wait for the N-400/naturalization has been reset to 4 years + after the US re-entry.
I have often checked the USCIS website and at some point last year they put out an “official statement” about Covid regarding my question and they pretty much said “they don’t care”, you still have the clock reset.
That being said, was anyone here able to appeal it with an attorney or had any experiences with this ?
Thanks in advance.
