  • Missing I-797, I-797C, Online Access Code can't be generated, check cashed

    Hi, three N-400 applications were sent in 1 envelope (to *increase* (I know it is not guaranteed) our chances of having interview the same day) to USCIS for processing. Each application was separated by metal clip.

    **Two** of the Three family members have received 3 letters from USCIS:
    1) I-797 Notice of Action (nice greenish paper) - Receipt Notice, Received amount $725 (check cashed)
    2) I-797C Notice of Action USCIS Online Access Code
    3) I-797C Notice of Action - Biometrics reuse

    BUT - One family member has received ONLY one letter - I-797C Notice of Action - Biometric reuse
    - The other two letters (I-797 Receipt notice and I-797C Online Access Code) were not received (it's more than 6 weeks delay now)
    - Check for this family member ($725) has been cashed by USCIS the same day as for the rest of family members

    The family member who is missing the above mentioned 2 letters tried to request new Online Access Code via USCIS online form three times, but always has received email with answer:
    Thank you for your inquiry dated XXXX
    To assist you with your request, we need
    some additional information. Please
    submit another inquiry to the USCIS
    Contact Center Technical Help at my.uscis.gov/account/needhelp and include the following required information:
    • Full Names (including ALL other names ever used);
    • Email Address (you use to login to your USCIS online account);
    Date of Birth;
    A- Number;
    Receipt Number (Receipt number must be an IOE number to resend an OAC); and Form Number (Needs to be connected to receipt number above).

    The person has done that using the receipt number from the Biometric reuse letter, but USCIS can not match the supplied info and can not provide new Online Access Code.
    The information on the N-400 was checked and verified several times for accuracy and also when filing the online USCIS form for new Online Access Code the info was entered carefully and correctly.

    Another step done was requesting from USCIS to resend the two letters (via their online form) (letting them know that the letters were not received), but still did not receive any answer from them.

    I would like to ask you if you have any idea why the two letters were not received and why USCIS can not provide new Online Access Code?

    Thanks for your help!!!!

    Because 3 different ISOs are working on each case.

    Mailing them in one envelope was not good, and you are lucky it appears USCIS figured out there were 3 cases.

      Thanks for you reply. USCIS states you can send multiple N-400 in one mailing, you just have to properly separate them, which we did. Each N-400 had also cover letter and G-1145. I don't think mailing them together is the issue. Any other ideas? Thanks so much!
