Applying for citizenship for my Dad

My dad will be completing his 5 years in the US on sept 19 but still believe I can submit his application by June 19 (90 days before) is that right? Also what documents do I need other than n400?
He doesn’t work and I support him. Also do I need to fill my name in his n400 as a preparer or translator as he doesn’t speak English. Thank you.

90 days before September 19 is June 21. Read the N-400 instructions for what is needed. If you translated for him then you are the translator. If you filled it out for him then you are the preparer. You might be both, depending on the situation.
