I am applying for 3 persons in my family, myself, spouse, and kid, and my questions are:

1. Can the applications be mailed together?
2. Can the fees be paid with one instrument (check OR MO)?

I applied together with my wife but I sent the applications in separate envelopes and wrote two checks, one for myself and one for my wife. USCIS did combine our applications. We have back-to-back application numbers and so far fingerprinting, receipt of pre-interview letter, and all other status updates were synchronous.
