  • I-751 been processing for 3 1/2 years...

As the title says, my I-751 has been processing for about 3 1/2 years and still no end in sight? Anyone else experience this? I did get the extension a while ago for 48 months, but that will be ending soon.

I was thinking of just filing for naturalization instead. Is that what everyone is doing? It feels like that might be the reason why the I-751 cases are taking so long to process. Any thoughts?

If you want to naturalize then by all means file for naturalization (which you were eligible to do under the 3-year rule 2.5 years ago; at this point, you might as well file under the 5-year rule).

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
