I got my GC on Sep.21st, 2009 IR-1 Spouse based
I left on Nov 23rd and returned on Feb 23rd and still here,
Does that 3 month I spent overseas still count towards my residence? so my total residence here will be 16 month ( Sep 2009 to Jan 2011) or these three month I was abroad will not count?
Another question is that I understand I'm required to be a resident for 18 month out of three years period to be eligible for citizenship, Is it ok, accordingly, for me to travel for a job overseas after I complete my 18 month period , where I will come back to the states for 1 week visits every 5 to 6 month and still be able to apply for citizenship at the same date ( I assume Sep 2012), will it help if I kept a lease in my name on a one bedroom appartment or something like that so I Still show that I'm connected to here?
