Hi Everyone - Let me first thank you all for the info I had used in my GC waiting days.
Here is a question that I have now as am approaching Citizenship/naturalization.
My Mothers name was incorrect in my Indian passport that was issued 12 years back(someone sitting in an India office wrote Kirti instead of Kiran). My birth Certificate shows it correctly though. I ignored it and never got it corrected. I am about 5 years into GC and ready to apply for citizenship. Once I get the citizenship in say 6 months, I will have mother visit and plan to apply for her GC.
Now my question is - Do they need or take my Indian passport info or its copy during the naturalization process. Would it having her name incorrect in my India passport affect the GC process for my mother?
Your Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rahul
